Deep Sea

By: MacKenzie Wejr

Anglerfish

Giant Squid

Interesting Facts about the deep sea

  • There are more than 200 species of anglerfish.
  • The sea's average depth is 3,800m.
  • The deep sea is not actually blue, the sky reflects off of it to make an illousion.
  • Known by human there has only been one death of the lions mane jellyfish.

Now some random facts.

There are fish at the very bottom of the sea that can go without eating for months because they use very little energy to swim.

The deep sea gets deeper and deeper because things like shells, crustations, creatures, rocks and fish rub against the sea floor and the sand moves and makes it get deeper.

There is a fish called the dragon fish that is known as the fish with no scales.
