Photoshop is the software we used to create our poster for advertising. Within photoshop you are able to add effects to photos, alter there appearence add text and colours.
Here is an example of where we have used photoshop to edit the colours, making the sky and house look grey and spooky!
Our camera enabled us to record the footage for the film. On the camera there are featured in which to set up before use to improve the quality of the recoding like the White Balance and the Light Contrast. The Firewire transfered the recording onto the computer, ready for editing.
Imovie is what we used to edit the movie once we had recorded everything. This piece of technology helped us cut out all the pieces of footage we didn't need, and make the transitions between the shots that we did need fluent.
Garageband is a piece of software technology that allows you to (once you have created a piece of music) open it onto imovie and synchronise it with your film. You create music by selecting through a rang of different instruments, altering the the pitch and frequency to create new sounds. We used this because it was a lot easier than recording someone play the music for us.
Down here we have edited the text into place, making it look faded and smudged. We have also added the '15' label, these are a few of things photo shop allow.
Blogger is the website where we filed all the work we did for our film, so we have a record of it. Everything we do goes on the blog so that you can see how the film is coming together! Paperwork is scanned onto the blog so that it cant be lost. This allows us to post photos and videos things we like, that can be turned into ideas.
IMDB allowed us to do research into films of the same sub-genre. This is how we estimated our who our audience would be, women, men and their age range. It provides graphs of user ratings so we can see this.
The scanners we used made it so that we could transfer written and paper work onto the web blog easily.
This website gave us the guidelines into the rating of the films; 12, 15 and 18. It told us what is and is not acceptable for the films, for example, violence and language.
