SIN

WORKS

My good life

Sin of Omission

Subtle Sin

What Works is Required?

Obvious Sin

Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Joh 6:28 Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" 29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

Jas 4:17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn't do it, it is sin for them.

2Ti 3:1 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.

Gal 5:19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

  • Is there any religious work that we can do to be saved?
  • Does God want us to do work?
  • Why does he want us to do work?

What are some of the good we ought to do?

Who is Jesus

What is the "WORK" God require from us?

What does it mean: "to believe in the one he sent"?

What are some of the "good" things you do to feel better about yourself?

Do you think that "doing good" will offset the sin you have done/ are doing?

What does it mean "having a form of godliness"?

What does it mean "denying its power"?

What should we do with someone that is a brother/ sister and live like this?

You might need to study this out?

Who was this written for? (Unbelievers or believers)

Define all the sins listed in the passage.

What do you think would happen with those who's live like this?

Are you doing the good you ought to do?

Believing and doing

Joh_14:12 "What I'm about to tell you is true. Anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. In fact, he will do even greater things. That is because I am going to the Father.

What did Jesus do?

Are you doing what Jesus did?

Does your life show that you believe in Jesus?

Do you then believe in Jesus?

Acts that lead to death

Test yourself against the list.

Do you "live like this"?

Test yourself on this list.

Ask some-one that is truthful to tell you what they think about you.

Heb 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, .........

Perfect Sacrifice

Small and Big Sin

Modern Sin

  • Who was the book of Hebrew addressed to?
  • What were the Hebrews' religious "ACTS" they performed?
  • Why did they performing these "ACTS"?
  • Did that make them right with God?
  • What are some of the religious "ACTS" we perform today?
  • What makes us right with God?

Heb 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. 5 For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"?

Jesus blood

Rev 21:7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

What should you change your mind about?

1Co 6:9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Which is worst: a being a liar or murderer?

Mat 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body."27 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

1Pe 2:22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 "He himself bore our sins" in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; "by his wounds you have been healed." 25 For "you were like sheep going astray," but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Is your “Yes” your “Yes” and your “No” your “No”?

Do you tell the truth even if it hurts?

Are you still doing any of these? What can you do about it?

  • Which of the sin mentioned are socially acceptable today?
  • What does it mean to be deceived?
  • Does God discriminate between adultery and homosexual sin?
  • Are we born with tendency to do the sin mentioned above?
  • What is the consequence of such lifestyle?

Dealing with Sin

Who does the Son represent?

What do you think God should be like?

Is God good or bad?

What was the purpose of the blood?

Are you willing to follow God's standard?

What healed us from our sin?

Confession

hamartanō (ham-ar-tan'-o)

Perhaps from G1 (as a negative particle) and the base of G3313; properly to miss the mark (and so not share in the prize), that is, (figuratively) to err, especially (morally) to sin: - for your faults, offend, sin, trespass.

Our Stories

What is he doing for you?

Jas 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

What forgives your sins?

Is there anything else that can forgive your sins?

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

What are you going to do about it?

Be Wise

Be wise to whom you confess your sin. Always confess sin in confidence with one another. Someone that follows the truth and that you can trust.

If you do this it will take your relationship with Yahweh to a new place!

You are going to make life long deep friends if you do this with others. It is a paradox and the wisdom of God!

Who wrote the letter?

Who should we confess our sin too?

When should we confess our sins?

How should we confess our sins?

Why should we confess our sins?

Why do you think this is so hard?

What can you do for others if they confess their sins to you?

:-)

What does it mean to be laid bare?

What will the outcome be if we need to give account for our sin?

Are you willing to confess your sins?

Did you confess all your perceived worst sins like this?

If your "secrets" are shown on your CV what would your CV look like?

Are you ready to give an account of your life before God?

The Religious

Physical abuse

Mat 26:67 Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him

Followers

No sleep

Mat 27:2 They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.

Mat 16:13-19

Who was with Jesus at this time?

What type of relationship did Jesus have with them?

Why was Jesus overwhelmed?

Who betrayed Jesus?

What support did Jesus receive from his disciples?

How do you think Jesus felt about the support from his friends at this time?

Mat 27:20 But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

Mat 27:26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

Serious physical abuse

Mat 26:40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Could you men not keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter.

Joh 10:13 The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

Fully human

Mat 27:34 There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it. 35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Mat 26:56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled." Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

Tortured to death

Mat 27:46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" (which means "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?").

If you were there, what kind of support would you have given Jesus?

Mat 26:70 But he denied it before them all. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said.

Do you enjoy religious titles and to be seen by men?

Are you insecure in your leadership position?

Do you lay down your life for the flock or are you comfortable?

Are you sometimes jealous of other's religious achievements?

Do the people you lead know your secrets?

Who are You?

Are you sometimes ashamed to confess openly that you are a Christian?

Do you think you would have acted differently if you were there?

Spiritual

Mat 3:16 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."

How could you describe the relationship between God and Jesus?

Bystander

Hint: Most perfect relationship in the universe!

Mat 16:16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

Soldiers

Read: Mat 27:45-54

1Pe 2:21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 22 "He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth." 23 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Mat 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Mat 27:31 Then they led him away to crucify him. 32 As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.

Why was there darkness over the land?

Why did God forsake Jesus?

Mat 26:67 Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Others slapped him

Hint: 2Co 5:21

Do you sometimes feel uncomfortable or ashamed to be a follower of Jesus?

Are you reluctant to do God's work? Do you hide?

Do you fearlessly proclaim Jesus as your Lord everywhere?

Have you ever considered the hurt you caused God and his Son?

Mat 27:27 Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, 29 and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said. 30 They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again. 31 After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

True disciple

Are you like Simon of Cyrene?

What are you going to do about it?

Why did the soldiers do this to Jesus?

Have you ever enjoyed when someone innocently suffered?

Have you ever joined the crowd in wrongdoing?

Starting Point

Act 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Separation

Mat 17:22 When they came together in Galilee, he said to them, "The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. 23 They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life." And the disciples were filled with grief.

Rom 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

What did Jesus say would happen to him?

  • On which day did Jesus rise from the dead?

Our Shortfalls and Sins

Did you know that Jesus died for you before you turned away from your sin?

What can you really do about it?

Do you believe that Jesus raised from the dead?

Rom 3:10 As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

Hint: You/ We are powerless, we cannot fix our un-holiness. :-)

Isa 59:1 Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.

Repentance about Jesus Christ?

  • How much sin do we need to do to be separated from Yahweh?
  • Does a small lie make us unholy before God?
  • Is one man more holy than the other?

Filthy rags

  • What is the difference between "iniquities" and "sin"?.
  • What do "iniquities" and "sin" do to our relationship with God?
  • Who is separated from God?

Isa 64:6 All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.

What does our righteousness look like compared to Yahweh's holiness?

What does sin and iniquities do to your relationship with God?

Sin

Would you be able to stand before God based on your holiness?

Light and Darkness

But I am a Christian

1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Rev 1:12 And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.

The authority of God's word in your life

Bold Repentance

Who is this passage referring to?

Why did John fall down as if dead?

Rev 4:7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. 8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying: "'Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,' who was, and is, and is to come."

Act 19:18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds. 19 A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.

Jas 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

What are some of your sins you should deal with in this way?

How would you feels once you have done this?

How holy is God?

What does it do to us if we realize how Holy God is?

1Jn 2:1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Do you blame others for your sin?

What can you do to take ownership of your sin?

Why is this so hard?

Mat 7:24 "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."

Jas 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

There are many ways to God

Joh_14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

NT:

Jesus is a man

Php 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

OT:

Jesus is not God but just man

First Century Repentance

Who do you say Jesus is?

Isa 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

Acts 2:14-41

Jesus came as a spirit

Who are the scriptures talking about?

List all the names/ rolls He is taking on?

2Jn 1:7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

Son - John 4:10-14 ......10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.......

Government - Eph 1:21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,

Counselor - 1Cor 1:30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Mighty God - Heb 1:8 But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.

Prince of piece - Col 1:20,21 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Does Jesus to take on all the roles in your life?

Why was it an issue not to acknowledge that Jesus came in the flesh?

What is the consequence if we follow incorrect teachings?

Would an incorrect teaching matter regarding Jesus' form or who He was? Was Jesus "a man" or "the Son of God"?

Repentance False Doctrine

Act 2:36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"

Work in Progress

Heb 10:26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

  • Why were they cut to the heart? What does that look like?
  • Is Jesus Christ the Lord of your life?

Heb 6:4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, 6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

:-)

Act 8:26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." 27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means "queen of the Ethiopians"). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. 29 The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." 30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked. 31 "How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 This is the passage of Scripture the eunuch was reading: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 33 In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth." 34 The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" 35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. 36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. What can stand in the way of my being baptized?" 38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

Getting started

Our Approach

What are the Bible basics?

This is a study approach to discover more about God, Jesus and the "word" without reading pages of some-one's opinion. I hope you will allow God to speak to you through his Spirit alone. Prayerfully continue with each study to include God.

Keys

Joh 13:34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Always pray :-)

Read the scripture in your Bible.

This is a great opportunity for you to learn how to handle the word of God. Use your bible as much as possible to navigate to the scriptures. Try and read wider than the listed scripture to confirm the context of the passage.

Heb 6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, 2 instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And God permitting, we will do so.

Joh_14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Be honest and truthful to yourself.

The study follow a logical flow based on Heb 6:1-2 and scriptures that I though may be relevant to the topic. The topics build on each other but you are free to navigate to any topics that may interest you.

Memory verse

What are the elementary teachings?

  • Do you know God?
  • Do you know what God want for you?
  • Do you know what Jesus has been doing?
  • Are you living as a disciple of Jesus Christ?
  • Do you want to know more about faith?

Intro Training:

Heart Questions :-)

The heart questions require prayer, humility and introspection. The heart questions are tough because they are a test for your humility.

Wrong or right...just be honest with yourself and others. You will find that we all have similar weaknesses.

It will be hard for you if you are not supported by a friend, a friend that is not afraid to speak the truth and that loves God. Your friend will encourage you and keep you accountable to your own decision.

I still find these questions challenging but they are good for me.

Follow this for more on the topics.

If you are a disciple you can use these studies to help some-one else.

Work in Progress

How does it work?

1. There are many main teachings.

2. Teachings have many topics.

3. Each topic have key scripture(s)/ reference(s).

4. Scripture has general topic questions. If you read the scriptures carefully you will find the answers in your heart, soul and mind. We do not provide answers.

5. Each topic have life application questions. These questions are personal and challenging but helpful to grow if you are real and honest with yourself. No Pain .... No Gain.. :-)

BAPTISM

Act 2:36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?" 38 Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call." 40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

The councilor left for the disciples

Joh 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Mar 16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
