To be a Greek God, you have to be very controlling and know how to tell people what do to. You must also know how to control the sky. Most Gods had special powers like lightening or storms.
For someone to be a Superhero, you must be able to save the world, either by yourself or with the help of others. You can have two identities. Everyone must be able to trust you, and know that you are going to come when there is crisis.

I would rather be a superhero because they save the world and people don't know who it is so you are all over the news with people asking, "Who is this person?" Your best friend could be a superhero but you wouldn't know it because they could be so good at living a double life.
1. People feel like females wouldn't be strong enough to save them. When they think of men they think of strong and courageous men who are willing to kill themselves to save others. Not that females aren't capable of that, it just isn't the first they think of. Males and females could have the same powers, but they would trust men first.
2. Heroes can be hidden from the real world. As in they can have two identities. They can be a normal civilized person, and then they can put on a costume and go save the world and not be recognized. Gods were the same no matter what. They could change outfits
3. Some themes that are common are like "Don't let people tell you who to be" "Be yourself".
