Attribution Theory by Heider
This theory provides three useful
factors to determine the causes of behavior.
- People use to make causal analysis
- Everyone is intuitive psychologists trying to find out what is causing their behavior.
- Heider en Gerrig y Zimbardo (2005: 545)
- The first factor is the social desirability of a behavior, these are actions that do not provide much information, that does not tell us much about the personality of the agent, and ordinary activities and receive social approval.
- The second factor is the degree of freedom with which someone
performs a behavior as freely chosen actions convey
information because
they reflect the
preferences and latent dispositions of the person.
