The colours I used are sterotypical of the type of colours rockers like to wear. They also match to colours of other rock music magazines, so this would mean that they would be slightly similar and able to spot by usual rock music magazine readers.
The cover lines that I included on my magazine appeal to a rock genre audience because they are about rock bands or rock music festivals that appeal to only a rock genre targetted audience.
Another way in which I
attract my audience is
by choosing and affordable
and preffered price. This way the magazine is affordable and more people would be able to buy it.
On my front cover the main image uses
direct address, this helps to attract the readers attention as it looks like the image is looking right at them.
The words I used on my magazine help to attract the audience because they are enticing words such as 'Exclusive' and 'NEW'. This gives the reader a hint that there is something special and different to read in side the magazine.
On the contents page I have labelled the images with page numbers and I have made sure that the page numbers link to the stories on the right hand side column. I have also made sure all the numbers are a different colour to the text so that they stand out over the picture and give the audience clear instructions.
I have also used Bold lettering so that it would stand out against normal text and the audiences' eye would be drawn to it.
To attract the audience to my double page spread I have used an image of a celebrity taken from a live gig. This gives the impression that the article is official and what can be read would be true.
To make the article stand out even further I have used an eye catching title with bold lettering and also a standfirst which reveals a little what the article is about but just enough to make the reader want to read more.
For the text on my article, I have included a large drop capital so that the reader is drawn to the beginning of the text. I have also added paragraphs so that it does not make it too much to read in one go.
The layout of my front cover is set out in a way so that the main story is the boldest and clearest and the rest of the stories are in a straight line on the right hand side of the page.
The layout of my contents page is arranged so that there is more room for images than text so that it does not look too boring and when there is only a little to read people will prefer this as too much text can be un interesting. From reading audience feedback they liked this idea as they all said my contents page was neat and readable.
The layout of my double page spread uses paragraphs of text and a large image. By reading audience feedback we see that this also attracts my audience by using a celebrity image and small amount of interesting text. The image appeals to the audience and also the title draws their attention.
