El Yunque!
Introduction
Hey Boys and Girls,
Did you know Puerto Rico has a national rainforest on the east of the island? One of Puerto Rico's treasures is there national ranforest called El Yunque. Tiano's, the indigenous tribe spent most of there time in the El Yunque. It was place to collect water and hunt or fish for food. It was also a social setting much like it is today. Many Puerto Rican’s is to go to El Yunque on the weekends to spend the day with their family or friends swimming in many local pools and waterfalls. La Mina is the most popular by far because it is the biggest. Can you figure out which one is second? Our job today is to create a poster about El Yunque!

Once you have your facts about El Yunque in your research notebook, then start brainstorming idea's for your illustration. Go on Google images and look for EL Yunque to help with your illustrations. Remember to have BRIGHT AND COLORFUL illustrations!
