Photosynthesis!! :)
What exactly is photosynthesis anyways??
Well, photosynthesis is
the process in which plants
use the energy provided by
the sun, to produce sugar, which
is then converted into ATP by the
cellular respiration.
What the heck is ATP? :0
ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) is the active carrier which gives organisms energy.
So is there like some kind
of equation for photosynthesis??
Of course there is!
6H2O + 6CO2 ----------> C6H12O6+ 6O2
Or.. for those that don't speak the chemical language, six molecules of water plus six molecules of carbon dioxide produce one molecule of sugar plus six molecules of oxygen.
The photosynthetic process
uses water the most, and releases
the oxygen that we must have in order
to say alive!
As the main materials (water and carbon dioxide) of photosynthesis enter the leaf, photosynthesis products (sugar and oxygen) exit the leaf.
What does the photosynthetic
process use most of the time?
Did you know??
*Plants are the only photosynthetic organism that have leaves? (Not all plants have any kind of leaves)
