These events are invitation only. Criteria for these events can be found on the individual event's Tournament Information Pages.

Parent/Junior Events

Parent/Junior Events are held during the Spring on Saturdays. Juniors may play with either their mother, father, or legal guardian. These events provide parents and juniors the opportunity to become familiar with the IJGA tournament process. Parent/Junior Events are a great way to enjoy competitive golf together!

Cost: $200, includes green fees, cart, and one (1) bucket of range balls.

Field size: 96 players/48 teams

CDGA Junior Amateur

One of the oldest junior events in the Midwest, the CDGA Junior Amateur provides participants with multiple days of competition. The event also provides National Recognition through the AJGA and Junior Golf Scoreboard.

Cost: $175, includes Tournament Entry, tee gift, lunch, and driving range.

Field size: 192 players

Field Breakdown: Boys 14-18- 156 players

Girls 14-18- 36 players

Yardages: Boys- 6200-6600

Girls- 5600-6000

Championships

The Illinois State Junior Amateur (Boys only) and Chick Evans Junior Amateur are Nationally Recognized Championships and the highest level of competition the IJGA has to offer. Players must either qualify or be exempt to compete.

Cost: $150, includes a qualifier entry fee (if needed), Championship entry fee, tee gift, driving range (Championship rounds only)

Division: Boys 12-18 (ISJA & CEJA)

Girls 12-18 (CEJA Only)

Field Breakdown:

ISJA- Qualifiers: 120 players/Championship: 156 players w/ 36-hole cut to Top 50 and ties for Final Round.

The number of qualifiers from each site is determined based on the total number of applicants attempting to qualify for the Championship and exempt players.

CEJA- Qualifiers 120 Players/Championship: 192 players (156 Boys/36 Girls) w/ 36-hole cut to 32 Boys/16 Girls for Match Play rounds.

Players Challenge

Players Challenge Events are a series of two-day events designed for players looking to transition from one day events to multi-day events. These events will provide National Recognition via Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings and AJGA PBE Stars.

Cost: $175, includes Tournament Entry, tee gift, driving range, & lunch

Divisions: Boys (14-18)

Girls (14-18)

Field Size: 150 Players

Field Breakdown: Boys- 120

Girls- 30

Yardages: Boys- 6400-6800

Girls- 5600-5900

Players Challenge Events and other multi-day, IJGA Events will help players establish a ranking within the Junior Golf Scoreboard. A minimum of four events are needed within the last 365 days.

Opens

Open events are 18-hole single day events that provide players with the largest field sizes the IJGA has to offer. Field sizes max at 192 players.

Cost: $77, includes Tournament Entry Fee, Driving Range, Meal

Divisions: Junior Boys (14-15)/Senior Boys (16-18)

Junior Girls (14-15)/Senior Girls (16-18)

Field Size: 192

Field Breakdown: Senior Boys- 78 Junior Boys- 78

Sectionals

These are 18-hole single day events are typically larger than Regionals. This is for a player who wishes to compete against larger field sizes for their division

Cost: $67, includes Tournament Entry & Driving Range

Divisions: Junior Boys (14-15)/Senior Boys (16-18)

Junior Girls (14-15)/Junior Girls (16-18)

Field Size: 150 Players

Field Breakdown: Senior Boys- 66 Junior Boys- 54

Girls- 5400-5700

Regionals

Regionals are 18-hole single day events designed to allow members to stay relatively close to home.

Cost: $57, includes Tournament Entry Fee

Divisions: Junior Boys (14-15)/Senior Boys (16-18)

Junior Girls (14-15)/Senior Girls (16-18)

Field Size: 96 Players

Field Breakdown: Senior Boys- 42 Junior Boys- 33

Senior Girls- 12 Junior Girls- 9

Yardages: Boys- 6200-6400

Girls- 5200-5500
