What do I need to make a thriller short film?

What is a thriller?
Audience
I will need a good storyline/narrative.To do this I will make a storyboard before filming so I can gather my ideas.I will also need to contact actors to be in the film via Facebook,Twitter etc.
I chose this genre because I thought it would be easier to make a film within the genre I am most interested in.I thought that this genre would allow me to make the film more original.
The main audience for the film is 15+ males and females as with most thriller films as they can have mature content in them.
