- Very similar to freestyle wrestling but with more restrictions
- The United States is one of the few countries that practice this style

- Not included in the Olympics
Greco-Roman
- In Greco wrestlers are not allowed to touch anything below the waist
- Has been included in every Olympic Game since 1896
- There is a great emphasis on grand amplitude throws due to the fact that takedowns and trips are prohibited

Injuries
- There is no protection like other sport to protect you from injuries
- The small padded mat does not offer much to cushion any falls
- Dehydration is one main "injury" that is caused due to major weight cutting
- Separations, Tears, Dislocations, and Whiplash are the most common
- Cauliflower ear is another risk the can be caused from excessive trauma
- Wrestling is the oldest sport know to man and is traced back over 5000 years back
- It was originally used to decide the winner of the Pentathlon during the ancient Olympic Games
- Not only were the rules completely different but the wrestlers were completely naked and covered in olive oil
- Now not only do we wear some clothing but there are a few styles of wrestling; freestyle, greco-roman, and folkstyle
- Freestyle wrestling is an international discipline and in the Olympics
- It has been around from ever but wasn't officially recognized as a sport until 1904 when 7 weight classes were created
- The main goal of this style is to throw your opponent and score a fall
- Basically everything goes!
