Some Important Steps

to ensuring our

Digital Safety

Understand

Your

Digital Footprint

Teach students that every step we take on the internet is logged and recorded.

Teach students that searching, shopping, allowing location detection and posting on social media allows others access to details of our private lives and that such tracking can be used against you.

Here are strategies we can take to help our students consistently keep digital safety in the forefront of their minds.

Self-assess

Requiring students to take a self

assessment to determine what

they do know and understand

will be paramount in leading our

youth in the right direction toward

the safest possible vitural environment. Using such a tool,

students as well as educators will easily see weaknesses and strengths and a program based on the current needs of students can be implemented.
