Risk Assessment - Library
Who and When?
- Jarrad is in charge of lighting equipment and making sure that it is not interfering with the public - (during filming)
- Jarrad and Charlotte will set up all the equipment at the location before the filming starts and the actors arrive, to make sure that the filming equipment bags are out of the way.
- Charlotte will ask the public in the location their permission to film them as extras in the library.
- Charlotte will be in charge of the camera equipment so the tripod legs are not endangering anyone.
Fix the problems
We will have on of our crew managing the filming equipment at all times at the location.
- We will always have the tripod and lighting legs firmly placed on the floor, or pointing towards the floor.
- We will move all our our filming equipment bags to a corner/location of the room which is out of the way of everyone in the library and is not blocking anything.
- We must take into consideration the people around us when filming, as not to blind people with the lights.
- We will also make the public at the location aware that we are filming, and ask for their permission first.
Reassess the risk
We believe that if we follow these steps that the potential risk in this location will be low.
Is the risk low, medium or high?
What are the hazards?
We believe that the potential risk in a library is moderate. As the location is full of members of the public.
- Tripod legs & camera legs tripping people over.
- Light blinding people in the library.
- Equipment blocking exit's and gangways/aisles.
Identify the Task
We must film -
- Actor at computer with Extra's around.
- Actor sitting at a table.
- Actor by the printer.
