Signs of a Drought....

It's very hard to predict a drought, because it comes slowly and gradually. Of course, warning signs of a drought include warmer climate changes, short water supply, crops failing, and live stock starting to take a turn for the worse... no fun. :P

What is a Drought...?

Definitions:

California Drought

In the little town of Lake of the Woods, CA, there has been a drought plaguing the poor place. The people have been having to save all the water they can. Their water prices have gone up a ton! :P

Wiki: Drought is an extended period when a region notes a deficiency in its water supply whether surface or underground water. A drought can last for months or years, or may be declared after as few as 15 days.[1] Generally, this occurs when a region receives consistently below average precipitation. It can have a substantial impact on the ecosystem and agriculture of the affected region. Although droughts can persist for several years, even a short, intense drought can cause significant damage[2] and harm to the local economy.[3] Prolonged drought has caused cause mass migrations and humanitarian crises.

Dictionary: a period of dry weather, especially a long one that is injurious to crops.

My Definition: A time where there is a short supply of water, causing crops to fail, causing live stock to fail, thus causing the people to fail. :)
