COMMENTS FROM PRESIDENT

AND VICE PRESIDENT

Sensitive information

taken out.

PRESIDENT

(GEORGE CHAN)

It had been an active year for SIDA with members engaged in four projects handled under our SIDA Inventors Assistance Program and frequent SIDA General Meetings. I take this opportunity to thank all members for their participations and contributions. I also thank our Honorary Secretary, Jason Leow for his volunteering his services as Webmaster of SIDA.

VICE PRESIDENT

(DAVID CHEN)

The year 2014 ended with numerous aviation accidents. First, Malaysia Airline MH370 disappeared from radar and later deduced to crash in the Indian ocean. This was followed by shooting down of another Malaysia Airline flight MH17 in Ukraine, Taiwan plane GE222 crashed outside an airport during landing in stormy weather, Air Algerie flight MD-83 crashed over northern Mali, and crashed of AirAsia flight QA8501.

We started project AVIATION (previously known as project MH370) due to these tragic events. Our main intention is to do our little parts to improve passenger aviation safety, however small it might be. Our secondary intention is use this project to bring our SIDA members together to work on a common goal. If we are able to achieve a some level of success, it will help to elevate SIDA, attract new members and promote the spirit of invention.

There are still many obstacles ahead and a lot of work is required before project AVIATION fly. I believed that we are getting closer to our goal. As long as our SIDA members persist on, we will get there.

4-2010: Lastly, we have some comments from our President and Vice President, looking back on 2014.

4-1010: SIDA finance will not be report here due to sensitive information.
