Ravensteins Laws of Migration

Law 1:

Whenever people leave a place, other people will enter.

When A person sells their house then leaves, someone else is going to buy their house and live in it.

Law 2:

By: Bailey Messner

Most people only move a short distance.

Law 3:

When your parents want to move, but still want to work at the same place and have you attend the same school, they move to another house in the same area.

People who move longer distances, are more likely to live in larger cities.

When moving to a bigger city, people may have more opportunity to get a job because they have more things taking place here.

Law 4:

Law 5:

People who live in cities move less than those who live in rural areas

Families are less likely to move internationally than young adults.

The U.S. quota laws make it easier for one person to immigrate on a work visa than it is for an entire family to come in the country

The city on the right has everything you need, the town on the left requires you to travel a distance to get necessities.
