If you were rich:
- Focused more on your image and reputation
- You probably didn't work and was highly educated
- Spent most of your time at social events or parties
If you were poor:
- Lived off of wages from a factory job, becoming a servant, you begged on the streets, or you farmed
- Had almost no political power
- Usually crammed into small one room apartments or other living spaces
- Medical treatment (Morphine, antiseptics, anesthesia)
- Evolution theory- Charles Darwin
- Germ Theory- the discovery that germs cause illness by Louis Pasteur
