The Victorian Era was a time of great change in nearly every aspect of British culture

Victorian Lifestyles

If you were rich:

  • Focused more on your image and reputation
  • You probably didn't work and was highly educated
  • Spent most of your time at social events or parties

If you were poor:

  • Lived off of wages from a factory job, becoming a servant, you begged on the streets, or you farmed
  • Had almost no political power
  • Usually crammed into small one room apartments or other living spaces
