Figuring out what I want to do for a 3D print

Look at my inspriations

Main Interest
Using a photo of coral, I would extrude it around a surface
The resulting sphere would be hollow with holes in a interesting shape, much like a fractal
Ideally, I would like to use the sphere that I just printed as a mold for a number of replicates, either in clear resin or a white resin
Or, I would cast them in metal, if I were that much of a badass.
