Our song choice is – ‘Sugarbabes- Ugly’
Our video would be completely different from the original video in terms of setting, location, costume and concepts.
In the original music video they wore one costume throughout the whole video. However in our music video we would be wearing different costumes depending on our location.
Our concept would be different from Sugababes because our one shows that the different locations allow different personalities
Our core audience: Working class girls.
Our wider audience: Those who are insecure about themselves.
The locations will be filming at are Gym, library, kings cross (water fountain), primary school and Westfield (shopping and restaurant).
At the beginning of the video it would be set in a primary school, this is because in the song the artist is reflecting back to when she was seven.
In the middle of the music video we will film in the library, gym, and Westfield (shopping and restaurant). This is because it would show the groups personality.
At the end and during the chorus it would cut to the group singing/ dancing in the water fountain.
Because we are planning to go to so many different locations, its obvious that we need new costumes. Certain costumes mirror the same genre as girls in videos tend to wear dresses with loads of make ups and jewelery including statement necklaces and big earrings to jazz their video however we will only wear the ideal outfit for our genre once at the 'restaurant' location as it would get too much and it would simply get too much for the music video.1) School uniform - we're taking it old school because in school everyone looks the same so we think this is a significant costume in our video.
The video that influenced us was a previous student music video from Ipek, Hafiza and jebeen.
They filmed near a water fountain which gave us the idea to film there too however our music video would be different because we will actually perform their whereas they just played around it .
Label: Syco Music
Because we don't want to be too big in the UK as we don't promise any other singles.
Our group name is H3LIUM.
H3lium would be similar to little mix because they’re a young group of girls and their style in clothes would be similar
The group would wear fashionable and trendy clothes because they’re young and are attracting a young audience.
Here asre some pictures of our journey to visit one of our potential location which is a restaurant at Westfield
Different locations represent different personalities indicating were all equal.
How do we follow it?
As our video is a pop video, its easy to tell you how we follow his theory. Our song and video will have an disjuncture rather than an illustration ads the lyrics don't go against the video but connect in a abstract way.
Also....
'The singer often looks directly at the camera.....'
This definitely applies to our music video as there are three of us and we will have close ups of each character. The lyrics include the direct address 'you' which would appeal to our audience as it shows that we are directly singing to them and that this is a song for them.

We have decided as a group we will not be using the Green Screen due to the lack of connection and relevance it will have to the concept of our music video.
One key visual element we will have is a lack balloon which will be at every location we film in and on the magazine add ad and the digi pack. We will have it at the back in the same corner as its subtle. Another thing that will be key is the font and the colour of the text

Well to be honest, anything can happen to us at anytime so I'm not going to state the obvious but instead what could happen when we're in public places with the camera.
