3 made a big name for itself in the film festivals. I would very much like to premier Evangeline in the festivals to gain awareness. Coffee Films also agree this is an important element in the distribution and promotion of a film.
A GRIPPING INDEPENDENT FEATURE LENGTH PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER FILM FOLLOWING A GROUP OF PSYCHIATRIC PATIENTS TAKEN ON A THERAPY WEEKEND TO ASSESS A NEW PHARMACEUTICAL DRUG.
Although still in pre-production 'Lucid' is a thriller set to release in 2015.
This is an example of Coffee Films making a low budget thriller film. Much like Evangeline. I think the genre also ties in well with Evangeline, the psychological element is important
Lee (David House) gets an unexpected visit from his best mate Jon (Mat Betteridge), who seems depressed at best. He's come fresh from a fight with girlfriend Sarah (Sarah Harvey-Smart), a fight where she told him something he really didn't want to know, something she probably wouldn't tell him again given the chance, and something that Lee definitely doesn't want to hear either.
In the past Coffee Films have made several documentaries but have also created full length feature films. They have created several thrillers, arthouse films and horror movies.
One of the themes in Dealer which caught my attention is the idea of making a film based on a persons real life discoveries. I would like to incorperate a real-life story into the making of Evangeline.
MULTI AWARD WINNING AND CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED ARTHOUSE/DRAMA SHORT FILM FOLLOWING A NATURE PHOTOGRAPHER WHO CAN NO LONGER STAND THE UGLY FACE OF SOCIETY AND REMOVES HIMSELF FROM IT.
LOW BUDGET MINI-FEATURE FOLLOWING A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A YOUNG DRUG DEALER LIVING IN THE MIDDLE CLASS COMMUTER BELT COMBINING REAL LIFE STORIES WITH FICTION TO GIVE A TRUE PERSPECTIVE ON SUBURBAN DRUG USE.
I like the idea of Evangeline having an arthouse feel to it. Coffee Films have experience with this.
