the American presidential system and has a three-part structure: the Legislature, the Executive and the Judiciary. It is governed administratively through a Federal Government.

The demography of Nigeria concerns the

most populous country in Africa and is the seventh most populated country in the world. They would range from 155 to 166 million people. Their birth and death rates are relatively high.

This is the flag.

Culture and traditions

In villages, women marry around the age of 15,

and men between the ages of 18 and 25.

CULTURE: is constituted by the

contribution of different ethnic groups. More than 50 languages are spoken in Nigeria. Nigeria's gastronomy is foods such as yams and cassava, as well as vegetable soups made from native green leaves. Football is very popular throughout the country..

in swampy and jungle regions. The large African mammals that were characteristic of Nigeria have disappeared because of the numerous human settlements. There are some antelopes, camels and hyenas in the north.

 Styles of folk music are related

to the multitudes of ethnic groups in the country, each with their own techniques, instruments, and songs.

Work songs are a common type of

traditional Nigerian music. They help to keep the rhythm of workers in fields, river canoes and other fields.

Nigeria is situated in the Western part of Africa. Its coastal boundary is delimited by the Gulf of Guinea in the south and the land boundary is shared by Cameroon and Chad in the east, Niger in the north and Benin in the west.

Nigeria became a republic in 1963, but changed to military rule in 1966 after a coup. A separatist movement formed the Republic of Biafra in 1967. Nigeria became areapublic once again after a new constitution was written in 1979. However, the republic was short-lived, when the military led by Major General.

Nigeria has two distinct climatic zones. Along the coast,

the maritime equatorial air mass allows

high humidity and heavy rainfall. Towards the north,

the continental tropical air mass carries

dry winds and loaded of dust (wind harmattan) from the Sahara;

The temperature varies considerably with the season

, like the precipitations, that the boy loses much that in the south.

Nigeria first participated in the Olympic Games in 1952, and has sent

athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since then.

The nation has never participated in the Winter Olympic Games.

Nigeria made its Paralympic Games début at the 1992 Summer

Paralympics in Barcelona. Adeove Ajibola won two gold medals in sprint.
