Thesis: I Came to Realize that Because of TV'S Negative Impact on Children, We Must Teach Children How to Cope with Television
During No-TV Week, students, faculty, and family members are asked to not watch TV.
Students first discover how much times they spend on watching TV per week.
Then, they decide what other activities they could do in the time they would be watching TV.
For example, they could interview a family member or friend who remembers life before TV.
No-TV Week!
Analyzing and Critiquing Television
Parents showed concerns for commercials as well as television.
Children see 20,000 TV commercials a year.
Teachers watched commercials with students and discussed what the messages were being presented.
