My Holidays in Morocco

September 2013

The worst thing that happened during my trip?

The worst thing that happened during my holiday was losing a scarf I liked very much. It happened when I went shopping and because I was a little excited choosing some clothes, I left the scarf on some shelf. When I returned to look for it I it was gone. Damn it!

My Holidays in NYC

October 2013

The worst thing that happened to us was to be harassed by vendors all the time and to be unable to know the real value of the items we wanted to buy. The Moroccan bargaining made us feel very uncomfortable.

The most boring time ...

I decided to go with my husband to have lunch with some relatives he met in the internet. I wasn't so interested in this program but I thought it would be a good action. The place was an average restaurant, the food could be better, and the people were not so very interesting. This was the most boring place and boring people I talked to.

I never felt bored during this time except when I had to wait in the airports.

I think that there is always something interesting to look at, even when you are on the line waiting to go into any mosque or a museum because I am always attracted by a person, a tree, some bugs , some buildings, etc because everything is new for me.

The most beautiful and moving places I visited?

I enjoyed a good laughter!

I felt like laughing the last day in Miami. This day people celebrated Halloween. At night we went to a famous street where thousand of people dressed in costumes were dancing and singing. It was a fantastic and fun party. The fancy dresses were very creative and some of them made me laugh.

The most beautiful place I visited in NYC is a place named High Line. It is a new one, and I had never been there before. It is located just following the Hudson River between 10Th and 36Th Streets. In an old railway that was abandoned, they built a fantastic path full of flowers, water fountains, wild vegetation, modern benches... We visited the place during the sunset and from there I could see the city under my feet. It was magic.

The most moving place I visited, without doubt, was a Church in Harlem where I went on Sunday morning to listen to gospel show. It was a temple that looked like a theater. In the stage a group of people sang beautiful music and encouraged us, the spectators, to sing with them.

During 3 weeks I had the wonderful chance to travel through regions with a huge history and awesome landscapes with very close friends!!!!!

From France to Morocco my husband and I discovered amazing places using different ways of transportation like planes, cars, motorboat , dromedary (not camels!) with just one hump, and of course just walking ,but with no doubt the most astonishing thing was to walk in a real dessert .

I could not refrain myself for laughing when I saw the argan tree full of goats!!!!! I think that the shepherds helped them to climb the trees because they were waiting for tourists and asked them some money after they took pictures.

I was trying not to scream when Edi´s dromedary turned his head and licked my leg.And of course I avoided looking at one of those men who were standing in the Marrakesh market with a cobra in a basket because I was told that they hang the cobras on the tourists shoulders. This is the worst thing in the world and I think I would die if I were confronted with such a situation.

Thanks dear Judith and Alice for sharing your adventures on your holidays!
