Here we have the title of
our film EXHIBIT A coming in
at 1.27 in the middle of the
opening. We placed it in the
scene of the chalk body so the
audience have an idea how
our title relates to our film.
Our production company Candi Studios and distrubution company Metronome came in at the beginning as they were the main credit that had to be mentioned first.
The directors name came
at the end instead of the beginning as
it was one of the most important credit. Also it will grab the audiences attention as it would be
the last credit they'll see.
We meet the protagnists at 0.23 seconds into the opening. This is so it gets straight to the point and doesn't drag. Also, so the audience knows who the main character is.
Our starring names came in after the distribution company Metronome with the main characters at the beginning such as Baris Timur. Also we placed the main names near the actual actors just to show that they are important charcaters in the film.
The executive producer was mentioned slighty towards the end. This is because this would more or likely grab the audiences attention also itis one of the important credit that had to be mentioned.
The writers were mentioned second last as we did feel that they had the important role needed to be credited at the end were the audience will notice.
Overall, I do think that we managed to follow the conventions of film opening as we did include most of the things needed. The sense of pace of the film wasn't too fast wasn't too slow but gradually did build up creating suspense. The setting suited our theme well and we did have to set the scene up making it look like a crime scene. We did combine the diegetic sound of the door creaking and the non diegtic sounds at the background. This worked well as it also did create suspense and builded up the tense.
Looking at the conventions of the title sequence I do think we managed to follow most of them however not all of them. There were many credits that we didn't mention for instance the music, teh featuring as we did feel that they werent that important. Our order of the conventions of title sequence were slightly different simply because we felt that were some credits that we felt that were more important.
