Thank you for your attention!
My new masthead is very different but it is seen
straight away on my magazine. 'Edge' also gives the impression that anything can be in the magazine which gets the targeted reader interested straight away and wanting to read on as the masthead is striking and memorable. The old masthead was not as striking and the writing was a lot more smaller which made it a little more harder to be seen.
When starting the task I didn't really add many
conventions as I was still getting ideas from popular magazines for example 'VIBE' But on the other hand when I done my more professional magazine I used a lot more conventions in my preliminary task.
I also prefer my new magazine rather than my old one as my new magazine looks more professional and also comes a cross a lot more real and on the otherhand attractive. It also has a better layout which gives it a sophisticated look. The preliminary task was very boring and also dull with hardly any information on it to read, which would'nt get the target audience wanting to read on. However my new final magazine is very informative and also engaging.
Looking back at your preliminary task, what did you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
My finished magazine is much more
conventional than my old preliminary magazine as it includes such things as a barcode, more informative with sell lines also a much more professional masthead and the picture I used as my main image on my magazine cover is a lot more colourful and also a lot more detailed to stand out to the targeted audience.
My new magazine is much more detailed than than my old magazine and looks more professional and also much more attractive. This is due to much more colourful colours for example the yellow, blue, red and white which stands out very easily to get the audience intrigued.
