Two minute piece: Evaluation

Our 2 minute film doesnt contain many people or try to represent any groups. The only thing in the film is about being stalked but not knowing who it is.

When filming we thought about using a park with a slide, swing and a roundabout. Using the roundabout we were going to make them move unexpected, but whilst trying to find a appropriate location we couldnt find one close by or with all of these things without having different parks editing into making it look like one. Instead we used a park with a swing and made the swing move, the location was close also so was not a problem accessing it to film.

With our two minute piece we wanted to make it as natural as possible with not many props etc as we didnt want them to distract from what is actually going on. So we used basic clothing like a coat and jeans as it is dark and cold. The only thing I would of changed was the colour of the coats maybe with a little colour or even just so they stand out in the darkness of the video.

With the editing, all our group had to do was make the lighting in the video a lot lighter so you can see the characters more clearly and get the dinamic of the shot. Also we lengthened and shortened some video's as we didnt want a certain scene to drag on and you loose interest. On the other hand there was some scenes when watched went quite fast and you didnt get the same feel as if it was in a slower motion, so we slowed down the timing which made it better in the way we wanted to create the tension within the film.

With adding music to the film piece it was difficult as we could not find the right background tune to go with the scene as we wanted a long winded, creepy tension styled tune. When we found one we added it throughout the clips till the end.

when filming Our 2 minute film we had some problems that we had to overcome. Like locations was difficult as some of our members in our group could not access the area or was busy when we were going to film. Also some of our members did not turn up so it was difficult to film with two members in the group but we did overcome this and finished our piece.

That the film industry must have alot of processes to take to make a perfect film. Also to try and narrow down the ideas and stages to come up the filming. Plus recruting people to do the certain jobs to help with the process

We created a short film with supsence and tension. Keeping the genre as the key thing to attract our audience we worked our way around to make it more appealing to the audience.

Who would be the audience for your media?

The audience for our media project would be; Young adults maybe the older generation. It will be a thriller so the audience will have to be a fan of thrillers and tension.
