Prevent being influenced by the cultures of people who live around Israel.

By putting restrictions on certain idolatrous activites and making sure to kill the people who try to convince the people to do Avodah Zarah, Moshe is making sure that the people do not go astray.

Social Obligation to Take Care of Poor

These people are at a greater risk to leave if their basic needs are not met. We need to help them so they can focus on serving Hashem.

Need to Remember that Hashem is the one that gives you everything, so it increses the relationship with Hashem, while making sure that other people can have the relationsip as well and will not stray.

Again, this is to prevent them from interacting with their pagan neighbors so they will not commit idolatry. If they stay away from their neighbors and do not socialize with them through activites such as eating they will be more likely to cultivate their relationship with Hashem.

The holidays are a special time when we have a special opportunity to reflect on Hashem's role and our relationship with Him. We praise G-d in public and create a special atmosphere to celebrate Hashem. During this time we go to the Beit Hamikdash and bring Karbanot to recognize that Hashem is in control. The special center is a place for us to develop our relationship with Hashem.

Emphasizes the mitzvot that place a boundey between Israel and the other nations, encourage them to renew a relationship with Hashem, and help prevent them from doing Avodah Zarah.

Intentionally Setting a boundry between Jewish people and Non-Jewish Neighbors. Prevents Socializing with them because Socializing revolves around food.

Examples:

A national center that connects people to G-d, enables people to see blatant miracles in the Beit Hamikdash, and bring Karbanot, as well as houses the Sanhedrin and the Cohanim.
