Sound: 20th Century fox theme tune

(Straight cut to next two companies)

Sound/ Sound effects: major key, happy sounds, violin, piano, drums (non-diagetic sounds), sounds then turn minor key, wind gets heavy, trombone, bongo drums, near the end the sound gets louder and high pitched.

Movement: Blue sky, clouds slowly move backwards (could link with the people walking backwards in the beginning- foreshadowing), then the clouds move quicker and the sky/clouds darkens and start disappearing (linking with the people dying/disappearing)

Reasons: This shows foreshadowing with what is to happen with people leaving and things getting worse and things appearing scarier. It shows how the movie will happen.

Shot type: worms eye, close up

Angles: low angle

Edit: Straight to black screen

Sound/ Sound effects: No dialogue, drums, wind, piercing skin with spike, moving it in the neck, trombone

Movement: hand stabs spike through her neck and twists it while the other girl sits there silently

Reasons: It makes the viewers focus on the stabbing of the neck rather than anything else, all focus on the neck

Shot type: close up, extreme close up, across the shoulder so we could see other woman's reaction

Angles: low angle

Edit: Straight cut

Sound effects: wind blowing, heart beat, faint screeching, wind chime, child's bell on bike

Movement: Woman pulls spike from her perfect bun in her hair with hand

Reason: She does this slowly to increase tension and sense of isolation of the subject. She slowly grabs the spike and then holds it quickly to give scare the audience as it gives the idea she is possessed.

Angle: This high angle with extreme close up on the hand pulling out the spike gives us little vision on what she will do with it which increases disorientation for viewers

This shows foreshadowing at this point for the right of the movie.

Movement: Camera pans on the dog at a low angle as it looks at the camera, with just the owners legs on show then goes in to the wide shot of everyone in the park as owner dissapears in crowd

Reasons: It feels like we are someone watching the dog from a p.o.v shot, gives the viewers an uneasy feel

Shot type: long shot of dog but can only see owners legs, wide shot, P.O.V

Angles: low angle into high angle

Reason: All the different parts going on are shown with sharp, straight cuts to create more tension and uncertainty to viewers. They showed lots of different views on what was happening to keep the viewers eye on what the next bit might be that shes seeing.
