Orkut is a service designed to help users meet new and old friends and to maintain existing relationships.

Although Orkut is less popluar in the United States than competitors FaceBook & Myspace, it is the most visited social website in India & Brazil.

Reddit?
Reddit is a news aggregation, general discussion and advice forum.
And it's function...
Reddit gives the option to submit links to context from the internet or submit "self" posts that contain original user submitted text. Users ask questions or ask for opinions on a wide range of subjects. From school questions to questions about what you think a quote means or someone might post just tell me one of the funniest things that ever happened to you.
Registered users are known
as "Redditors".
Reddit comes from the latin word
Render, which means "to submit
for consideration or approval."
How could we use it?
Our class could post a link on the "Dumbest Generation", ask a question about what people think about Bauerlein, and get feedback from people from all over the world. It would be a great way to get multiple opinions.
BOOKMARKS
What is it?
Google Bookmarks is a free online
bookmark storage service,
available to Google
account holders.
How is it
used?
Users can access their bookmarks from any
computer by signing into their Gmail account.
Then they can save shortcuts to their favorite
webpages and navigate to them in seconds
from any computer, phone or iPad. The bookmarks
are available anywhere as long as they can log into
Google.
And how could it be useful?
It would be an easy way to find the same information at school as we find at home, and vice versa. We wouldn't have to search out for the websites because they Google Bookmarks can be seen from any computer. It saves time and is very reliable.
