Once our film was almost at completion, we arranged a focus group constiting of 5 girls and 5 boys to gain

some feedback on our film and the results were very positive.

Half of the focus group agreed that the length of our short film was a bit too long, however this is not a

worry for us as we still have much to cut out of our film.

After our film was played there was a silence within the focus group which I was happy about as this was the

effect my group was hoping to have on people as the story is supposed to leave you thinking, wondering and

needing to see it again.

There was a very obvious problem with our film which stil needs to be sorted out which is that the size of

the frames are either too small or too large however once again this is something that can be easily fixed.

The group all seemed to like our use of mise-en-scene which I was glad about especially as I was worried

we had used an excessive about of vaseline on our characters face. However the group believed that this

reinforced the fact that these men are very ill and our in a hospital for a reason.

The group also noticed a jolt in our

montage sequence which I am

now working towards removing.

I asked the group what they thought of our nurse, and they all agreed that she didnt seem to care about the

patients which was also an effect my group was going for.

The main critism the focus group had was that the ending was not powerful enough and that the editing didnt bring out the emotion that it should. This lead me to the idea of echoing Collin's earlier comments about what was outside the window as though Adam were hearing them in his head. This emphasises his guilt and makes him realise how good the other man was and what he is now stuck with. This is an idea I am working on currently.
