Use of celebrities to express that their product is the best. Kids usually listen, they don't understand that the celebrity is being paid to said this.

The advertisers hope that if you see a product, or hear its name over and over again you will be more likely to by it. (This is why commercials sometime place more than once)

Advertisers add music and other sound effects to add excitement. They also use jingles(slogans) that are catchy- these jingles stay within the viewers mind. They also have the volume higher in commercials compared to the regular program.

They Always Seem Perfect; kids are attractive, have newest fashion/haircuts, happy. For Ideal Families, the family always gets along. This represents the type of people the kids watching would want to be, and or want their family to be.

Advertisers use words to mislead consumers. Look phases like;
"Part of.."
"Because we care..."
"New, better tasting..."
By placing cartoons in the media it sells the product by making it look fun to eat. Also people intend to remember the product from the character/cartoon in it.
Companies tend to use facts and statistics to enhance their appeal and credibility.
