Short Loan books can be borrowed between:

11.00-16.00 or 16.00-11.00(next day)

You can borrow up to 3 at any one time.

(Not available to external users)

Laptop Support

Drop in clinic for laptop & mobile device support - no appointment needed.

Support offered:

  • assistance with the installation of college applications, e.g. Kaspersky Anti-virus, SPSS, printing software, etc.
  • network connection to CampusNet/CampusAnywhere
  • assistance with virus removal
  • College email account connection
  • General diagnostics

Printers, photocopiers, and scanners are on Level 2.

Remember to top up your Printing account.

There are individual silent study spaces in Founder's on the first floor. Please respect others and keep noise to a minimum in these areas.

Level 2 book collection

There are 7 study rooms in Bedford Library.

Holds

On level 2 you can work in groups.

You can also book group study rooms.

If all copies of an item you need are on loan to other readers, you can place a hold and we will notify you by e-mail when it becomes available. You can place holds on books on Libary search :

Holds are shelved in the short loan collection of the library.

When you receive the email saying your book (hold) is ready for collection it will contain a collection reference number which the hold is labelled with.

You can issue your book using the self-service machine, also in the short loan area.

You can purchase hot and cold drinks and cold food in the cafe. Hot food is not allowed in the Library, and you must recycle your rubbish using the bins provided.

Short Loan

Undergraduate students can borrow up to 15 items (including 3 Short Loans/DVDs).

You can take out and return books using our self issue machines.

You can keep books for:

Normal loans = 3 weeks

One week loans = 1 week

Three day loans = 3 days
