The formula is a trade secret, kept in a bank in Atlanta. An urban legend says that only have access to it two managers.

In 2011, the magazine "Time" revelled that apparently a group of detectives, found the list of ingredients of Coca-Cola.

Coca-Cola was created by John Pemberton in 1886. At the beginning it was a medicament to relieve headache and bellyache and it was made of coca leaves and cola seeds. Then it was sold to quench thirst. Frank Robinson named it as Coca-Cola and made the logo.

  • Coca-Cola was first green.

  • Coca-Cola means “to make mouth happy” in Chinese.

  • 'Coca-Cola' is the most recognised trademark, recognised by 94% of the world's population and is the most widely recognised word after "OK".

  • There are nearly 10,450 soft drinks from The Coca-Cola Company consumed every second of every day.

  • If all the 'Coca-Cola' ever produced was in regular sized bottles, there would be over 4 trillion bottles. If these were stacked on a football field the total would make a mountain over 325 miles high. This is more than 60 times taller than Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world.

In 1983 a new Coca-Cola rival arises, Pepsi. Even its beginning wasn't really brilliant, later it bacame a problem for the leader company. When Pepsi started it was an unfamiliar brand and it became bankrupt twice. Coca-Cola had the opportunity to buy it but the company rejected Pepsi's offer, thing they would regret years later, when the little company rised and became a powerful rival. That happened because Pepsi began to gain importance in the market thanks to its aggressive advertising against Coca-Cola.

Everybody knows how Santa Claus looks like actually: Jolly, with a red suit and a white beard. But he didn't always look that way, it was Coca-Cola advertising what created this modern-day image of Santa. Before, the image of Santa was a small and thin man. It was in 1931 when magazine ads for Coca-Cola featured St. Nick as a kind man in a red suit.
