General Objective of the Linear Park

Main Objectives for the Presentation

According the Joint Statement supporting the establishment

of a friendship cities partnership...

The objective is to create a Linear Park that includes among other elements, a non-vehicle mobility lane (pathways and cyclepaths) in the riparian zone of río Amarillo and Navajuelos stream, in order to reconfigure the urban spaces, providing protection to the natural protected area, and promoting in this way a closeness, learning and identification of the population to natural areas in their urban environment.

- Strengthen the city friendship process and communication about a potential project that its related to friendship cities agreement;

- Learning, generate support, technical recommendations and possible collaboration between :

i. Department of the Natural Areas;

ii. Department of Park Planning & Development;

iii. Colorado State University;

iv. Center for Collaborative Conservation;

- Sharing and learning from one another

- Positive solutions to the challenges affecting our communities.

The proposal of the linear park "The Kisst", won´t only help to conserve the ecosystem and provide connectivity and sustainable mobility to the city but also has the potential to be a place of learning, recognition and identity for the inhabitants and visitors, a site capable of achieving reconciliation between man and nuture.
