Problems about flooding

Nuterial swimming

Where we get the information from ?

Hard to travel

Damage

It is very hard for people to travel to places when there is flooding like to school, to work, and it is hard to find food.

We asked students and staff in our school using Google forms and we got 23 responses.

Flooding can break a lot of things like houses, roads, etc.

Cambodia

Below are some pictures at Oxfam

Make the simple filter tank that saves the money and has good quality water so the people can drink it.

Water of Swimming Pool

We went to ask the expert at Oxfam on Dec 2, 2013 and that is where we got the information of how many people had drowned in 2013.

The children can't go to schools.

Our group plans to use the normal water to put in the natural swimming pool because it can save money and it can keep clean for a long time. The reason that it stays clean is because the roots of the plants filter the water and it keeps people healthy and is not acidic.

When there is flooding

Tonle Sap Lake

The people can't find food so people can die and the animals too.

In Cambodia flooding is a big problem. In 2013 188 people drowned including 88 children. Why do people drown?

Plant more trees

Mekong river

The house can damage because it is not so strong and pillars can rot and rust and the wall can fall off.

The road can damage because when the water flows the land goes with the water too.

This is the swimming pool that has the normal water.

People get drown when have the flood.

Oxfam is an international confederation of 17 organizations working in approximately 90 countries worldwide to find solutions to poverty and related injustice around the world. You ca see on the website www.Oxfam.com

The people need the

clean water.

We need to plant the trees because

the roots of the trees can absorb the water and also the trees can make the food to eat during the flood.

Swimming Pool In My School

Natural Swimming Pool

Decreased economy means flooding impacts factory production the sellers at markets can not sell anything.

To build a traditional chlorinated swimming pool we need $30,000 and each year we spend $1,500 to clean the swimming pool.

The swimming pool that we need to build is the natural swimming pool because it doesn't cost a lot of money and we don't need to clean it. We just grow the plants around the swimming pool.

People can get sick

David

Why do people drown?

Because the people don't know how to swim and the level of water is higher than the people. Some children like to play or fishing in the water and the water moving too fast so they can get drown.

Growing plants around the swimming pool will clean the water.

Build stronger houses

People need to learn how to swim.

Drainage pipe

How do people learn how to swim?

  • More mosquitoes
  • snake
  • dirty water

We need to teach them to swim so we need a swimming pool.

Is also the main reason that the

economy decrease too.

Make more fast food like noodles
