The Winter's Tale
King Leontes of Sicilia is visited by his friend, King Polixenes of Bohemia.
Leontes begs Polixenes to stay with he and his pregnant wife, Hermione for a little longer.
Leontes becomes jealous of Polixenes and Hermione.
Polixenes flees with Camillo, a loyal retainer, due to Leontes' threats to poison his friend.
Leontes throws Hermione into prison for infidelity and sends to the Oracle of Delphi
The queen gives birth to a baby girl, who is abandoned in a desolate place. The answer from Delphi proves that Hermione and Polixenes were indeed innocent.
Mamillius, Leontes' son has died and Hermione is reported as dead. The baby girl is named Perdita and is abandoned on the Bohemian coast.
Perdita is raised by a shepherd, and, 16 years later, Prince Florizel, the son of Polixenes, falls in love with her. Polixenes intervenes and all take ship for Sicilia. The shepherd tells everyone the story of how Perdita was found and there is much rejoicing.
While the entire cast celebrates in the country, a statue of Hermione miraculously comes to life and all rejoice.
