Sound Bridges- when the sound from
one scene is carried over to the next scene
the images from the scene are still
the same but the sound changes,
using this type of sound means that the film a sense that it all links together.
parallel sound-
Parallel sound is when then sound usually complements what the scene is showing. for example hapy sounds reflect a happy image you get more of an atmosphere for the scene is the sound and image reflect eachother.
Diegetic and Non -Diegetic Sound
Diegetic is the music or sound effects that appear to eliminate from the rest of the world and also the sound that is heard in the studio of which the film is being shot.
Non-diegetic sound is not part of the film world and is later added to the film for example a voice over would not be heard in the films setting and therefore must be added on later.
Contrapunal sound-
Contrapunal sound is the opposite to parallel as this is when the sound and the image do not fit eachother for example is somebody is walking on a beach and scary sound are being played in the background then they do not suite eachother and do not fit together.
Disorientated sound - when other sounds are introduced into the scene for example when a person is speaking they will be the focus of attention but if somebody in the background started talking then the sound would be coming from two different places and the sound would be as clear.
