Your scores belong to you.
Colleges never see them. We promise!
You don't have to share them with your peers but you should share them with your family.
PSAT Scores do not go on high school transcripts.
Did you have breakfast?
Did you sleep well?
Were you too hot or too cold?
Multiply your PSAT score by 10 to get an estimate of what your SAT score might be if you took it at this stage of your education.
If you can eliminate one or more of the answer choices (it can't be B and it probably isn't C . . .), you should guess!
Statistically, this "educated guessing" approach will help you earn more points than skipping the question.
Example
A 54 on the PSAT predicts about a 540 on the SAT.

Percentiles help you compare yourself to other students your own age.
More than 1.5 million sophomores took the PSAT. Your Score Report will say “You scored higher than __% of sophomores” in each of the three areas.
For juniors, the PSAT is also the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Juniors with a high Selection Index score range may be considered for National Merit scholarships.
Each state has a different Selection Index cut off for National Merit Semifinalists.
For Oregon students in the Class of 2015, the minimum score was 217. Oklahoma was 206. Massachusetts was 223.
Your overall score (Critical Reading + Math + Writing)
is called the Selection Index.
The Selection Index is used to identify Juniors for National Merit scholarships.
