Huck Finn Map

A short way through their journey down the Mississippi, Huck and Jim run into a large patch of fog, right around the area of Cairo. Huck, in the canoe, and Jim in the raft, got separated from each other. Huck and Jim were both searching for each other, but by the time Huck found Jim, he had fallen asleep. When Jim woke up, Huck told him that he had dreamt the whole thing and that they had never gotten seperated. In all of the confusion of the fog, Huck and Jim managed to pass the city of Cairo.

Huck leaves Jim alone in the raft and comes back to find him missing. So he goes off to look for him and leaves the duke and king behind. He arrives on the Phelps farm where they think he is Tom Sawyer. When Tom actually arrives he creates this Elaborate plan to set Jim free because he has been captured and put up for sale. This leads to Jim getting caught and Huck reveals his true identity. This also leads to Tom being shot and Jim helping the doctor fix him up. He then goes back to the farm and learns that Ms.Watson has died and in her will said that she wants Jim to be free.

Huck's father, Pap, kidnaps Huck after he doesn't get the money, and takes him to a small cabin in the woods where he locks Huck up in a small room, while he goes out and drinks. Huck , while he is fishing, sees a small canoe, and realizes that he will be able to escape from Pap using the canoe. Huck creates an elaborate plan, to slaughter a pig in the house, to fake his own murder when he escapes. Huck then leaves the cabin and steals the canoe to travel to Jackson Island.

Huck escapes his father on the canoe, and heads toward Jackson island, a small island in the Mississippi. While Huck is on the island, he runs into a slave, Jim, who was owned by Ms. Watson, who was planning on selling Jim because Jim was thought to be the murderer of Huck. Because Jim knew Huck, he asked Huck if he would help him escape, to Cairo, the nearest free state. Huck and Jim begin their journey here, and prepare for their long trip down the Mississippi to Cairo.

Huckleberry lives with Ms. Watson, a widowed woman who lives with her sister, both of whom are religious, and civilized people. The sisters wish to civilize Huck, from being a treasure hunter/robber with his friend Tom Sawyer. Huckleberry is very wealthy, after finding a very valuable treasure with Tom, and not long after his findings, Huck's dad gets word of the money, and decides that he should be the owner of that money, because he is Huck's father.

Huck, Since he and Jim had been on the river for a while, decides to go into a nearby town, disguised as a girl, to be sure that nobody recognizes him, to see what is going on lately. Huck, finds a woman when he gets into town, who is suspicious of his female disguise. The woman, Ms. Loftus questions Huck, asking questions to reveal his identity of a man. Later, Ms. Loftus reveals that everybody suspects that Jim is the one who has killed Huck, and that is why they think he has ran away.

Huck and Jim, still traveling down the river, ran into a wrecked steamboat in the river. In the steamboat, Huck heard a group of three robbers, and it sounded as if two of them were getting ready to kill another. Huck was disgusted by the fact that they would just kill this person, so Huck decided to get back at them, by stealing their boat, and going to contact somebody to go and arrest them, unaware that it is the duke and the king, who they will be traveling with for a long time after.

Huck arrives at the Grangerfords late at night and is almost attacked. Huck tells this family that his name is George Jackson. this family is fighting with another family called the Shepardsons these families cant even remember why they are fighting. This 30 year argument is the reason Huck has to leave and start following the river once more with Jim.

When Huck and Jim meet the king and the duke they figure out real quick that they are con men or rapscallions. They trick an entire town into going and seeing their ridiculous show. By the third night of their show the men of the town are sick of being cheated so they brought things to throw at them when they went on stage when the pair found this out they never even went on stage they left with Huck and Jim down the river.

The con men are up to their shenanigans again, they were riding down the river when they heard of a man whose brother's were supposed to come from England to collect his fortune that they inherited because he had died. They tricked the entire town into believing that they were the two brothers, and they claimed the fortune. Huck feels guilty and tries to give the money to the rightful owners, his daughters, but his plan goes awry when the actual brothers from England arrive. this sends Huck, Jim, and the con men back on the river to continue their journey.
