Missional Community Leaders

Missional Communities

Missional Communities are lead by qualified leadership teams who have proven character and competence to shepherd others in becoming a family on mission. Ongoing pastoral oversight and coaching will be essential to the health and growth of Missional Community Leaders. Local elders, family leaders, and apostolic teams will need to offer the strength of their graces to equip and empower these teams as they faithfully steward their kingdom responsibilities with joy. Fathering, mothering, mentoring and coaching these leaders is the key to the sustainability of the health of each MC. A regular rhythm of care and counsel must be implemented before leaders launch their MC.

Why Missional Communities?

A prayerful spiritual family on a mission to make, mature and multiply disciples growing in love for God, one another and their neighbors expressed in the everyday devotions of Acts 2:42-47

The Fellowship of the Believers

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

Missional Communities are the context for a simple and beautiful form of church, where everyone can be known, heard, valued and equipped as sons and daughters of the Father's family on mission. It is an original design of extended family households ( Greek: oikos ) found in the Early Church that created the vibrant context for discipleship founded by Jesus with his disciples and continued with the unfolding of the Great Commission found in the book of Acts. We see missional communities as the primary organizing structure for discipleship and maturing a spiritual family to be on mission, to see the Kingdom come in hearts, homes, neighborhoods and nations through geographic and demographic adoption of people groups.
