Heterosexual marriage has these benefits, and it is what the scientific studies have looked at. There is no data showing similar benefits for same-sex couples. We don't know whether same-sex couples would enjoy any of these benefits, and there are reasons to think they would not. While this maybe controversial, homosexuals must be treated with equal respect because they are people also. They are important to society and can impact our lives tremendously."

One man is dead after a bizarre sequence of events led to shooting outside a west Houston home early Sunday, police said. According to the Houston Police Department, it started around 2 a.m. when a husband and wife got into an argument a party.

Wow, that was very enlightening. It's as if you are important no matter who you are or what you believe. Every time you take action, you are directly and indirectly affecting future outcomes.

I find this to be relevant in my relationships with people that I trust. Some of the smallest things, in my eyes, whether an action or words, will have the biggest effect on those around me. Sometimes consciously, but most times subconscious.

Well, no snowflake ever feels guilty for causing an avalanche. I feel like I should try doing a lot of things differently so I won't be a part of any large scale problems.

My Initial Reaction

No matter what I do and no matter what I say, I will affect the future. In the eyes of society, it does not matter how I feel or what I believe, what matters is the way I am perceived and how I can alter the course of mankind. My influence is determined by others and the way they are persuaded by me.

My Final Reaction

While my grand decisions are important, they are not more so than the small, everyday actions I take to get by. The benevolent gestures I demonstrate to my friends are just as relevant as the rude and hasty remarks. Whether I realize it or not, everyday I influence people's lives without thought.
