Definition
Spastic (overactive)
- A disorder of all bladder dysfunction due to disease of the central nervous and peripheral system thats involved to control micturition (urination) process.
- Three types:
- Spastic
- Flacid
- Mixed
Clinical Manifestations
- affects the T12 vertebrae (upper motor neuron lesion)
- bladder is overactive and person cant control
- feel of sudden urge to urinate
- fails to store urine properly.

- weak or dribbling urinary system
- inability to urinate or straining to urinate
- Polyuria
- painful urination (may lead to urinary tract infection)
- urgency urinating

Pathophysiology
Upper motor neuron lesion (T12 and above)
(affects spinal reflex that controls micturition process)
