After various lessons of understanding the thriller genre as a group it was our turn to have a go at filming (with no filming experience), trying to involve these 3 key concepts: match on action, 180 degree rule and shot reverse shot.
We first started filming with a video camera however, within seconds of filming the camera died of low battery. We then attempted to re-charge the battery but, noticed that it would take hours and we only had an hour to film. Our only other option was to film through an iphone 6, which in my opinion has a clearer and precise camera however, as we could not use a tri-pod, the pre-lim task was shaky throughout as we filmed by hand. We also found it difficult to keep scenes consistent throughout constantly having to alter any mis-en-scenes that might have come out of place to make the video as realist as possible. Another problem we found was the location as we filmed in our school corridors we had to make sure we didn't pick up any unwanted sounds. After that uploading through imovie was straight forward, it took less than an hour to edit our pre-lim video as we filmed once throughout with no re- takes so there we no options of better shots to choose from. Through this we learnt that filming the real product we have to film countless of times in order to have an outstanding product.

During post-production we used a website creator called 'wix', to distribute all of our research and planning of thrillers. We found this time consuming and an on going process of editing as well as, trying to keep consistency, it took some time to get used to it but once we alternated and assigned different tasks to each member of SNL productions, it became less harder and overwhelming.
As a group we split the different evaluations between us each recieving two questions. I did 2 and 6. I Used word to demonstrate the wikipedia page, the only problem I found was keeping it consistent to make it as realistic as possible by doing this it was very time consuming. Lastly, using Prezi was alot to taken in after watching the lengthy tutorials, I created around 3 different prezi's until i finally understoon how to use it.
After our first attempt of filming, we made sure that this time we used the correct equipment to learn from our previous mistakes. We also found out in our group that some people are better at using the camera than others, myself not being particularly good at it. We learnt how to use a variety of shot angles such as pan shots, tracking shots and zooming and out to entice our audience. We also had to learn about consistency and keeping the whole scene the same to make it realistic. As we shot plethora of the same shots we were able to narrow down the best shots for each scene by editing and croping through imovie. Not to mention to emphasize the professionalism of our thriller opening we used a software called Livetype to create a movie title that was different to usual cliche imovie ones. We found this difficult as it is not shraight forward and needs research and quite alot of attempts to get it right.
