Development

Low self-esteem

  • positive and negative feedback

Subtypes

  • Negative outlook on life
  • Unable to see past a setback in life
  • Constant negative self-talk
  • Defensive high self-esteem
  • Secure high self-esteem

What is Self-esteem?

- a persons overall perception and value of their own self worth

Self esteem is essentially made up of three things:

1. the degree of acceptance and love a person believes they have from others

2. their feelings of worthiness and the ability to accept themself

3. confidence in the ability to use their skills and attributes
