strengths and weaknesses

As there was only 2 members in our group

we had very equal contribution to the task, I took part

in the film itself and also did the majority of the camerawork, deciding where to position the camera and weather or not to use the tripod. Following the filming I also edited the sequence using final cut express. I felt like we managed the task well for time, we allowed ourselves an hour for the filming, and we had around 3 hours to complete the editing, we had around 30 minutes left at the end to view our product and see what needed to be changed in order to maximise its potential.

From our own personal observations and from

audience feedback we can come conclusions

about our strengths and weaknesses. Our strenghts

are that all of our shots were framed very well, and our

match on action was timed very well which the rest of

the group picked up on also, we felt as if we didnt break the 180 degrees rule. On the negative side we can say from our class feedback we need to work on the steadiness of our camera, and it was also picked up on that some of our shot durations were too long and needed to be shorter

what we'd of done differently

Having done the majority of the filming

myself, I feel that I have developed a lot

of filming skills, I have a better idea on

where to place the camera, and using the

camera in general, as well as directing a short

sequence, because it takes a lot more organistation

than I previously anticipated.However as it was

out first so theres a few things I need to work on,

one of which is definately editing, I need to look at

what type of editing is appropriate for different shots,

and we definately need to look at timing our editing to

a better standard so the film flows much better.

If we were to do the task differently there would be a few things we would change : I would put more planning into how we were going to edit the sequence so we were more organised, also I would make the sequence more simple; having tried to over complicate what we needed to do it was more hard work for ourselves, so in future I will ensure we do our task in it's most simple form and ensure we have all the technical elements.
