Dyscalculia can't be diagnosed by brain functions yet, so it's diagnosed based off of effect, and you have to have more than one struggle in math.

The best treatment is remedial education. Other programs that have been successful include "Project Math" and teaching computer skills. There isn't a true cure.
Dyscalculia is a learning disability in which, the student is unable to understand mathematical concepts, remember the right sequence of steps in problem solving or recognize mathematical representations.
Language processing difficulties, which result in a person having trouble processing and making sense of what the ear hears.
1. Use graph paper to solve problems so they don't make errors from improperly lining up numbers.
2. Have the child read the math problem out loud, even if it isn't a word problem.
