'Kate' Character Representation- Mates
Final Idea
We Later realized that Kate's 'popular/rich girl' representation wasn't explicit enough and it was hard to recognize what type of character she was, which is bad as syhe is the main character to her persona should be blatant, we then realized the clothing the most reasonable/explicit way of doing this is by making her character more 'hiphop/music' obsessed (which is another popular high school character type.) We did this by changing the costume to big gold earrings, ripped jeans and fashion scarves. -(actual clothing images/own images.) we also made it explicit in the voice over used by saying 'Kanye West is My Spirit Animal' (Kanye west being hiphops biggest fashion idol.)
Development
After the first week of filming we decided to change Kate's Characters representation, as we did not hae the correct costume to bring her across as a 'cheerleader'. also due to weather conditions this was not a sensible idea, so we changed her outfit to present a 'popular/rich' type female.
Original Idea for Kate.
Kate's Original Character persona was meant to be a cheerleader type female, cheerleaders are almost always used in High School Dramas, such as glee and high school musical. With her outfit looking similar to this:
