"I don't care what you had for lunch"
"It's just a bunch of noise"
Why does the world need this, exactly? It's not as if we were all sitting around four years ago scratching our heads and saying, "If only there were a technology that would allow me to send a message to my 50 friends, alerting them in real time about my choice of breakfast cereal." Twitter saved me $764.13
My parents really appreciate the updates. I try to twitter throughout the day- what we are doing, and student learning outcomes.I teach at a school where the parents are very involved in thier child's education. I find that many of my parents check for updates daily- if not hourly.
My students also like to help me twitter. We talk about what we are doing- and many times they tell me what to post.
It is also great for connecting with other teachers from around the country, and the world. I have seen some great ideas twittered- and have borrowed many of them.
