We decided that we would keep with one of the same costumes for both the film poster and magazine cover, so there would be consistency in our media product, which will enable the audience to recognise the film when they look at either the poster or magazine. This is the costume:

Even though these outfits on the poster and magazine do not show up on the trailer, because often what the character wears on a poster is completely different to that in the trailer, we tried to keep a consistant theme running, which is bright colours for what the "geek" wears which is part of her identity. Also when the geek tries the "Street" look we made sure that in all 3 texts that she would wear a a zip up coat and have her hood up because we thought that it was a good sartorial code for the audience to recognise is being "street".

The hand gestures that are circled in white are

consistently used in all three media products becuase we wanted something that would represent the "street" aspect of "geek to street" and this kind of pose is commonly associated with the "street" stereotype.

It is quite small but I have highlighted "PGM" at the bottom of the poster

This is also in the beginning of the trailer, we made sure of this because we wanted to make sure that the production company was promoted and becuase they both have this symbol it links the two products together.

we wanted the main character to be in all our texts, because the film is all about her and it is important for the audience to know this because then they can have some expectations about the film. we made sure that she wore the "geek" glasses in all three texts because this is a key Sartorial code to portray her character/stereotype as the audience easily recognise that big black geek glasses are "geek" and so therefore is representing the "geek" in "geek to street".

We decided that on our poster, we wanted to add an image of the main character doing a dance move.

This gives a hint to the audience the the genre of the film is "dance flick" even though this move is not shown in the trailer it was an effective image as it connotates to the fact that the film is also a parody, it also adds movement to the poster just like on the magazine cover, it is like the image is coming out to the audience, we wanted to do this not only so the audience can be brought into the life of the film but also because it is a dance parody and adding movements hints this.

We decided to make the two e's in "geek" into the kind of black glasses the main character wears as it shows consitency with the main product and magazine cover and because it is thw only thing that is solidly consistant we thought it would get into the audience's head and we also thought it was a fun way to play with the title because after all the film does not take itself seriously and is all about fun, dancing and comedy which we tried to express in our main products and and acillary texts
