My magazine represents teenagers and young adults who listen to Rock and Metal music. I think I have achieved this using the images, layout and informal language used. I also think I have met all the aspects of a Metal music magazine and have represented the particular social group well.
I have made this magazine keeping in mind that i want it to attracts both genders- even though a girl is placed on the front, she is not dressed in a very feminine way, but in an alternative, casual fashion that wouldn't put off either males or females.
I have achieved this by using a specific model, setting and props in my photos, representing and attracting the right audience.
Especially when the world might have a bad view on that type of subculture anyway, i think portraying them in a positive way is good because it challenges the way some people think.
This also challenges the association of dark and black colors with the genre of Rock and Metal because it can also be perceived as very colorful.
She is holding and playing the guitar, which is an instrument that symbolizes rock and metal very well. its is also in general a very colorful picture with her red hair color which is quite vibrant popping out.
